Time: December 2009-May 2010
The 1st General Meeting in Brussels will concentrate on the proposal for consensus questionnaire which will be communicated to all project partners early enough to allow intense reflection and discussion within and between all involved partners. Consensus on the questions is crucial to the project's success as the questions are important for comparability of own data from national work and future comparability for cross national data sets. Standardization of questions, drafting of predefined required national response rates and adaptation to national conditions will be addressed. Furthermore, two collaborating partners will be chosen to participate in the Advisory Board.
Between the General Meeting and the 3rd Steering Group Meeting, the English consensus questionnaire will then be translated into all survey languages, and - with the help of national LGBT groups, gay activist groups, or gay-centered AIDS-support organizations - the national language versions will be back-translated to English to check for accuracy. Furthermore, an online test run will have to be performed to resolve existing weaknesses and impreciseness.
