Descriptive and explorative data analysis
Deliverables: Plan for descriptive and explorative data analysis and meeting report on preliminary survey results
Responsible: GTZ, CEEISCAT, Maastricht University, Regnione del Veneto, RKI, Sigma Research
Objectives: Identification of differences and similarities between countries and MSM communities
Time: October 2010-August 2011
Based on initial analysis the plan of data analysis will be drawn up including the review of the organization chart for data analysis and detailed time schedule. Cross-national priority areas will be defined. The plan for analysis takes into consideration the description of the current situation, orient prevention, and assessed interventions already implemented in the field. Suggested (cross-national) priority areas of analysis and respective responsibilities will be: comparability of national samples (RKI), differences between countries (Sigma Research), comparison between old and new EU member states (Regione del Veneto), extent, impact and consequences of migration and mobility in the MSM populations, including analysis of acceding and neighbour's countries (CEEISCAT), and HIV and STI risk management strategies (Maastricht University).
During the 2nd General Meeting, national and cross-national data analysis will be presented to all partners. Findings and problems faced during the implementation phase and responsive measures will be generally discussed, and the format and content of the survey report will be planned. A meeting report will summarize the findings and decisions of the meeting and will specify the themes and range of topics together with the design, format and technical premises for the final survey report.
